Celebrate Organic Design in the Desert :: Tickets Now Available for the 2025 OA+D Celebration

Don’t miss this annual gathering of community, history, and vision.

Join us Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Chandler Museum for a day that celebrates the living spirit of organic architecture and design. The 2025 OA+D Celebration, themed "Sonoran Shapes + Structures: Desert-Inspired Architecture and Design," explores how the desert’s forms, light, and resilience continue to shape the work of architects and designers from Frank Lloyd Wright to the present day.

The morning begins with check-in and a warm welcome from OA+D, followed by Aris Georges' presentation “Nature, Abstraction, and the Sonoran Desert.” After a catered lunch, we’ll honor Arthur Dyson with the OA+D Lifetime Achievement Award, before hearing his own presentation, “A Life in Organic Architecture.”

The afternoon continues with Mark Hammons revealing rare imagery in “Del Zoppo Documents Soleri” and William B. Scott, Jr. tracing “The Desert Legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright.” The day concludes with closing remarks, silent auction winners, and a festive separate ticket happy hour event at Hop Social Grill.

From The Archives: Halloween Greetings In The Spirit Of Taliesin

Among the many seasonal treasures in the OA+D Archives is a charming collection of analog and digital Halloween cards designed by the late John Amarantides, an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright and beloved Fellowship member. Each year, Amarantides created these humorous and beautifully crafted cards for members of the Taliesin Fellowship, turning a simple greeting into a work of art.

His designs often featured bold geometric layouts, playful typography, and whimsical photos or illustrations of pumpkins, ghosts, and other mischievous Halloween themes. They reflected not only his talent as a designer but also the camaraderie and creative spirit that defined life at Taliesin.

These cards reveal a lighter, more personal side of the Fellowship, where design and friendship came together in celebration of creativity, humor, and community. Selections from this collection remind us that the Fellowship’s design legacy extended well beyond buildings into the art of everyday life.

If you have materials like this that are related to Frank Lloyd Wright, the Taliesin Fellowship, or any other organic architectural or design items that you're interested in donating for our growing collections, please let us know by contacting us at info@oadarchives.org.
