Support Organic Architecture + Design On Giving Tuesday!
Giving Tuesday is the day where the financial generosity of people helps non-profits like the OA+D Archives achieve their end of year goals. As 2023 comes to a rapid close, it's time to reflect on the amazing year of growth we've enjoyed at the OA+D Archives and ask for your support to keep the momentum going into 2024.
Here are a few highlights from this year:
• We continued our publishing efforts through the Journal of Organic Architecture + Design, including new scholarship on the Imperial Hotel.
• Two new books released, At Home: A Client's Appreciation For Authentic Architecture by Deborah Lencioni-Lapp and Crossing Boundaries With Frank Lloyd Wright: How Ornament led to Architecture by Sidney K. Robinson.
• We added several additional archival collections and organic works, including the John U. Ottenheimer Collection, original materials from Frank Lloyd Wright's Imperial Hotel, The Donald G. Kalec Collection, and several others.
• A major organizational milestone was reached by completing a full organization of the TA Collection (over 60,000 drawings and prints) at our Chandler Study Center, which recently celebrated another full year of being open and servicing scholars and enthusiasts.
• The online archival catalog continues to grow and be refined to offer the most expansive access to the collections.
• Finally, we produced and adopted a 3-Year Strategic Plan for the organization which will help guide us in our efforts to fulfill our mission to "Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present, and Encourage the Future of Creative Organic Architecture and Design. We do this through Conservation of Original Design Materials, Education, Publication, and Exhibition."
